pigeonpete Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 how do you clip a birds wings i am getting a pair of doves for my wife she wants to put them in with the young birds but i dont want them to fly away so i am going to clip there wings but how exactley do you do this?? would nt advise you to do this mate, if you dont do it right you will hurt and damage the birds, just use soap on 1 wing, or get them on eggs and they should settle if you do decide to cut them down, what use will they be then? will take a season to grow back
westy Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 do not clin the last 2-3 flights i wud soap them.
crazy pigeon boy Posted April 20, 2007 Author Report Posted April 20, 2007 i will soap the wings of the doves it is a shame to clip them
peterpau Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 follow your local postman and you will find elastic bands put these round the flights and this wont do any permanent damage
