First of all you need to be sure that you have reported the bird to the Union on the bird's ring. The Union will advise the owner that you have his/her bird and they have 3 days to claim it [arrange with you to get it home, possibly by amtrack or another carrier].

Its got GB06N18164, so who do I contact? do you have a phone number/

I've altered your original post on 'Found Birds' to show the full ring number. Hopefully someone with a GB ring list will help you with contact details.

This ring was issued by the National Flying Club you will have to report it to the R.P.R.A, 01452-713529 or report it on line.

 

Thank you very much, just I haven't had a bird with a ring on it to report before. :) :)
