hi all im building an new loft it will be 24 ft and will house my ybs and widowers and an small team of hens to am looking for ideas it will house 9 cocks and 9 hens it will keep me bizzy thought the rough time ahead do u think they is enough room for 9 ockcs and 9 hen on widowhood and 40 ybs and an small stock section thanks all the best to everyone for the 2007 season jon

I would try to have your widowers seperate from the hens and YBs or they wont rest!! My widowers are opposite the YBs loft and they wouldnt relax, so ive given up and race them paired up now lol

Then next year 29 hens and 29 cocks... and 100 y/b's. It is absolutely massiv, and the main yardstick is once the places of perching are filling, never add more. Yes every season you will have a dilemma to make way for new birds. 24 old birds is more than enough. When perches filled, and you get to know your birds... Good luck mucker.
