Hi I decided to pair the hens to race to the nest. I repaired them after last inland race and never sent them to the first channel race. They had been sitting four to five days when sent on Thursday. MY problem is as this week has been a holdover the cocks have left the nest.

What action should I take. I had nowhere to place the eggs whilst the hens went this week and thought the cocks would sit

Even the hens won't sit them johnny 11 - hens left the eggs yesterday from Thursday basket (cocks only away)

have you any pairs left - that could sit the lot? (or atleast one from each nest)

Now, c.m'on John, Are you having us on?

For what it's worth! Here goes. The night after marking, remove the hen or cock whichever, and isolate it. Return it to its nest when sitting time should occur, warming the eggs slightly beforehand. You will get up to 4 days at least , using this method. Vic.
