Tony C Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Pigeon Express is a Pigeon Courier Service aimed at improving the quality and care that should be taken when transporting Pigeons. At present the service is only open to the South East but if response is good plans can be made to expand the area of coverage. Pigeon Express is a family run business situated in Hythe. Pigeon racing has been in my family since 1912. I first started racing and breeding pigeons at an early age when I lived in S*expletive removed*horpe. At present I am not able to keep Pigeons but I am still in contact with many friends made during my time in the sport. Our aim is to improve the transportation of Pigeons by providing: Same Day Collection and Delivery. A Safe Environment for Transportation, no other items are carried. A Sympathetic and Knowledgeable Driver that has the wellbeing of the Pigeon foremost. Please email us with any comments or suggestions regarding our service as we are always seeking to improve. Above taken from the Pigeon Express website http://www.pigeonexpress.co.uk/ The best way would be to franchise it or any other, but then again that's one of the problems with Amtrak Although if it was a pigeon/bird/pet only then you would might be on to a winner
THE FIFER Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 there is one which has been going in scotland for a few years,SPDS, it covers mainland scotland, would be good if this could jion up with one on the borders so we would have a full coverage,

THE FIFER Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 Aye but that leaves the opportunity to blame someone else dont see how, if the south delivery turned it over to the north then it would be the norths responsibility, if it was not turned over then it would be the south,
jimmy white Posted August 3, 2007 Report Posted August 3, 2007 amtrack need competition , as they get it all their own way,,as things stand at the moment ,

Guest coxy Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 cheers mate very greatful any ideas on how much it will cost for 18 birds lol knw it wont b cheap
aarden Posted August 14, 2007 Author Report Posted August 14, 2007 i used amtrax last year cost about £85 for 18 birds
Fair Play Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 I thought it was approx.£30.00 for up to 4 birds and £2.50 per extra bird. I have seen sellers asking for £35.00 but Louella only charge £22.50/4. Seems there may be some add ons by some sellers :'( :'( :'(
Guest coxy Posted August 14, 2007 Report Posted August 14, 2007 i have used amtrak in the past but havent had much luck with them to be honest hopefully this other service will be better has anyone had dealing with either of the above couriers if so which seems to be best
