frank-123 Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 i was letting my birds out everyday until i had a sparrowhawk hit the other day so my plan was to let them out everday if the weather was ok now i will go back to once a week
THE PRIEST Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 My birds will go out once a week weather permitting on a weekend for a bath.

phillips Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 my birds are locked up untill feb
Guest Hjaltland Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Really all depends on the weather... if its stormy there's a risk of them being blown into wires. edge of roof etc. They are out all the time otherwise
Guest Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 My cocks and hens are seperated, so weather permitting, they each go out day about.
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 mine are out everyday weather permitting. will get them seperated tomorrow and the cock will go out in the morning the hens at night weather permitting again
deanbruton Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 we usually lock them up till january/feb time have terrible problems with sparrowhawk/peregrine attacks otherwise, they always take the best as well.
polly Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Out most days if I can be around, and bath available most days.I feed the crows at back garden woods who patrol the territory and alert me to any predators about in their space-cats or hawks. Not 100% failsafe but has worked on many occasion.
Mark Bulled Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 Mine go out whenever I am there, which unfortunately is only weekends during the winter.

jimmy white Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 every day , even for a short while [enough time to clean loft] unless really bad
