example     delbar   is  a strain   of   racing  pigeons   .   fantails    are   a   breed  of   fancy   pigeons

could be said that a delbar is a breed of racing pigeon, and there are strains of fantails , ie black ones ,white ones ;D but i do see what your saying cloudveiw
