Hi All,

Thank you to all those who responded to my previous question.

Now to my next question:

I have two logans about 6-8 weeks old.  How much should I feed them? Is two desert spoons 2 times a day enough.

What is the feeding technique? Should I take away the feed after 10 minutes?

Many thanks

Wiley and Westy,

When should I start giving them an ounce per bird per day?  After how many weeks?

When are they classified as being fully grown?

Cheers

protein feeding when they are growing , but still would only feed them once a day , just enough, that as soon as they become disinterested stop

their not really fully developed untill their two years old but will successfully race to certain distances as ybs and yearlings

Feed them a bit at a time until they start to leave the barley then stop. A big bird needs more than a wee bird and a bird that is flying needs more than one sitting in the loft. When they starts to leave the seeds they dont like they have had enough.

Hi, I give my young birds as much as they want high on beans, When they are flying well i govern the food so they trap well when they land, food being a great trapping aid no more waiting about for young birds to trap into the loft. :)

we feed our birds once a day, we put seed in the feeder in the loft and the ones that go outside the loft get seed at the feeding station in the garden which they share with the hens and are constantly in and out the loft all day feeding their young, the feeders are always empty next day in the loft. :)

Hi, I am fairly new to the pigeon world and would like to ask a question, is peanuts good for pigeons? I normaly give them a mixture of cut corn, wheat, conditioning seed and some young bird mix, but if you give them peanuts they'll do anything for you. some of them have started flying down to the back door as i come out in the morning looking for some peanuts.
