the doves look great though,

do these fly around the garden?

how far do these roam??

The white straight tailed pigeons or "garden doves" as they are now classed just stay around the cotes and garden but are capable of flying a fair distance.

If you let your top racers out they would do the same have a fly around and hang about the loft, probably just better bred and fed for distance and stamina

thats great, they look beautiful,

how many you got??

24 in the cotes, Chickadee keeps her fancy ones in the lofts, this is her latest squeaker an indian fantail

Why indian - what is the difference between an indian fantail and a garden fantail?

Feathered feet, quif on the head and they are larger

This is a garden fantail sqeaker

I must have a cross then - got one similar to your indian - all white - with quiff but not got feathered feet - however got some feathers on bottom of legs  :B ;D

I have a succesfull dove release company and have a on occasions have used darden dove / white homer hybrids for multiple bird releases........I have had these come home from 40 plus miles with no problem at all......they get trained in the same way...but  are just a tad slower..........I wouldnt imagine you average garden fantail would go much further than a couple of miles

Aye a good one, generally they're quite thick when it comes to homing, always the exception though, to the point some exhibition ones get lost in the next garden as they have all the homing instict bred out of then

none of my whites are for weddings becouse they have raced well, and im getting delbars, and thats still no reason to call them no real homers, if he were not so good i would kick his ass, he does not race in club races he only does one loft races, like the south africa and other big ones,
