DOVEScot Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 the doves look great though, do these fly around the garden? how far do these roam?? The white straight tailed pigeons or "garden doves" as they are now classed just stay around the cotes and garden but are capable of flying a fair distance. If you let your top racers out they would do the same have a fly around and hang about the loft, probably just better bred and fed for distance and stamina
snowy Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 thats great, they look beautiful, how many you got??

The White Rapido Man Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 the doves look great though, do these fly around the garden? how far do these roam?? I have a succesfull dove release company and have a on occasions have used darden dove / white homer hybrids for multiple bird releases........I have had these come home from 40 plus miles with no problem at all......they get trained in the same way...but are just a tad slower..........I wouldnt imagine you average garden fantail would go much further than a couple of miles

Guest MBpigeonguy Posted October 18, 2007 Report Posted October 18, 2007 none of my whites are for weddings becouse they have raced well, and im getting delbars, and thats still no reason to call them no real homers, if he were not so good i would kick his ass, he does not race in club races he only does one loft races, like the south africa and other big ones,
