amtrack again!..huh!

yes sorry to mention this but yes theyve done it again!

rang this morning to ask amtrak to collect birds for me today ,yes was the reply from the cardiff depot.

this was at around 8.55 this morning.when i arrived home today after 4pm i rang the place where the birds were to be picked up!

the van driver arrived for summut else and said that he had no knowledge of picking up birds.

so i rang cardiff to see wots up..this female asnswered with severe attitude and continued to chat on about nothin to do with us we sent ur order by fax this morning,i questioned how come they wasnt picked up(well withing my rights).

she then went into attitutde overdrive and wouldnt let me speak,she said ....DO U WANT UR BIRDS PICKED UP OR WOT!!!! well i just replied who on earth ru speaking too?.well she just put the fone down on me.

so went onto head office who was polite and helpful...they put me through to the depot where the birds were being picked up....they stated cardiff didnt fax through the order till 10.55..yes 2 hours later when had promised me theyd do it straight away...well sorry for posting another bad amtrak post but thought id get it off me chest!...paul >

ive had loads of hassel and i havnt been in pigeons long very unsure about asking amtrack to go and pick my van reet hen from mac1 in durham to go to telford.we have tried twice and failed badly. poor thing been boxed up twice and waiting all day for nothing. try a third time   : :-/

     im in the south east and although iv only used them 3 times they are very much on the ball.

      they pick up from my garage when no one is home and take a cheque taped to the boxes of birds im sending !   ie. they deliver the birds without my cheque clearing !!

Proportionally they are very good at delivery times, sadly because it is livestock and not dry goods, white goods ect, a day or two days late when delivering a washing machine etc is not the same as a live pigeon

We joined the Runt club but a lot are keeping stock for the show season, hoping to get some at the end

We have had a runt paired up with a racer and they produced a fine big brown barred babe, which my daughter has named fudge. ;D

i have used them about 5/6 times and their service for me was 101%,

i cant fault them !!!

 

BUT,you only hear the bad stories,no one tells the good stories and vast majority i think are good service,just the odd few that make it bad for the pigeon fanciers on the whole !!!!!!

What if Amtrak pack up with pigeons all together? Then what? Buisnesses like louella would go bust? The rule which states you have to get strays back would have to be changed, to non fanciers only. Fanciers would be told to feed water and release unless you are prepared to go pick it up. I can see it happening, how much do Amtrak need us I wonder?

update to this thread....today tuesday..my birds were to be picked up...wrong...the van driver went there with one box to pick up 4 birds!!!

when i got home i heard of this got onto the depot that were picking the birds up...they said they would go back to the guys house and pick up the FOUR birds.i told them its 4 birds u got that yes they said..well the person who was sending the birds to me rang me to tell me they turned up with TWO BOXES FOR FOUR BIRDS after all was said on the phone.

then i was told by amtrak that id have to pay for them to collect the other two birds to tomorrow...!%$* i said..ive ordered 4 birds and i aint paying no more...after several calls to their head office im now getting the other two birds picked up for nowt....just sumtimes u need to grit ur teeth and kick the cat and go for a walk...or u could just throw a fit and have an heart attack lol > :X..paul

as you know eagle owl sent me some fantails (thanks again mate )   my wife arranged for amtrak to pick them up yesterday, they were deliverd this morning   great ,, only one slight problem , i havent paid them a penny ,, i was expecting my missus to pay by card when booking and she was expecting me to pay cash when the birds were dropped off  ;D
