homer Posted December 6, 2007 Author Report Posted December 6, 2007 any type of birds other than racing pigeons go in the fancy breds class there u go chrissy ???
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 I didn't say you couldn't do it,if you want to enter the show you will have to do that, was just meaning its not technically correct and should a flyer win the fancy section then someone showing fancys would be well within their rights to object thats what i just said ;D
Webmaster Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 I think we've been over this before. For the purposes of the Pigeonbasics Online show: Racers - racing pigeon, birds that you have, or could send in your normal pigeon races 50-500 miles etc. Non-Racers - basically everything else; show racers, tipplers, rollers, westies, huntsmans, pouters, runts... etc, etc The reason for this classification is that historically we have had significantly less entries in the fancy/show bird classes, and thus it makes sense to run a class of 10 'non-racers' than classes for 2 show racers, 3 rollers, etc.

homer Posted December 6, 2007 Author Report Posted December 6, 2007 ok ! sorry chrissy sorry tammy this is doing my head in, but this is now my understanding of the situation. i think that possibly there should be a "flying" breeds section but in the absents of this everything but racers go in the fancy. thats reasonable . where it went wrong was wen i read chrissy post and i thought sum breeds couldnt be shown. the post clearly said , (and i quote) "There are alot of breeds not classed as fancies which therefore arent eligable for either section" but now im up 2 speed.
