well you can but dont have too we dont that's one of the good things about ets no setting clocks or puting in rolls and ink pads, also when you get ur time from an ets all times are correct no geusing where pointers are on conventional clocks, or working out slow or fast clocks, also now ets works out the velocity, as said well worth the price of rings, you only lose them if you lose birds,

well i myself dont lose many young birds or old birds ,but some fellow club members lose more then i have every year, still i dont race young birds but i will be this coming season.some club members where cleaned out this last season with losses even with old birds some good winning  pigeons lost .

so the club still needs to buy rubbers  :-/

i heard that some races won't allow you to use ets so they will have to buy the rubbers and some members haven't got ets

not if all members are on ets, they would only have to buy them if some were still using the other clocks, as no one is forced to use ets, our club all have ets and it saves a lot of work and time, no sheets to write out or putting rubbers on birds, or having to take them off when they come home,

HI ARCHIE I THOUGHT ABOUT THE LOSING Y/B'S IN TRAINING FACTOR BEFORE I PUT THE RINGS ON ASWELL THATS WHY I GAVE THEM 20 TOSSES BEFORE I ETS RUNG THEM ALL BUT I HAD ONLY LOST 1 Y/B IN THAT TIME SO DIDNAE REALLY MAKE ANY DIFFERRANCE MATE 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

yes its only if you lose birds you lose rings, but if not they are there for good to use year after year, if a club is putinf 4-5 hundred birds away each week with rubbers it works out a few quid at the end of the year, so clubs are saving as they dont have to buy rings, the members yes but i still think the good things about ets make it all worth it, and all we have to do is try not to lose many birds, and make sure the birds you are puting them on are worth it.

you can apply to the lottery each year, you dont just get it once and thats that, plus i dont see any reason for ure club not applying,

those clocks are out of date so you would have a good chance with a grant, we got ets clocks last year, and we can now apply for another grant for something else

A FEW BOB MATE

yes and theres no having to right all the rubbers numbers along side the birds ring number and keep them safe etc to check on race night, and keep them til the end of the season,

which races can you not use ets for

dont see any reason for some races not allowing ets, yes if some members dont have ets you will have to get rubbers for them,

some national races put rubbers on ets rung birds, but idont think you need ur clock set you only have to produce the rubber if ure bird is in the running, i personally cant see the reason for this, but if thats what they want then it must be,

i suppose it will help combat someone cheating ,so surly these rubbers must be recorded ,
