chickadee Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Can someone confirm this is a tumbler please? ;D Have you had it out and watched it flying yet?
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Have you had it out and watched it flying yet? Nope, it's one of the stock birds. We were given them by hubbies boss who didnt listen to what we were saying we wanted, but it seems they could be tumblers. Would it be safe to let them out - considering they came from another loft? :-/

883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 How long have you had them? and have they been getting out into your avairy? We've had them about 5 weeks or thereabouts. They do come out in the aviary, but seem to be more interested in bathing than flying. They sort of fly around it - its big enough 6 foot high, 6 and half feet wide nd 12 feet long, but i can't say i have seen them tumble, which is why i posted the photo. Someone said they were, but i'm not so sure. But then i admit to knowing absolutely nothing. ;D
chickadee Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 How long have you had them? and have they been getting out into your avairy? Oops I see by your pic that they are in the avairy.
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Oops I see by your pic that they are in the avairy. We built the whole aviary for less than 50 quid - love having a hubby that can do stuff ;D ;D ;D

DOVEScot Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Were they not sqeakers when you got them?
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Do any of your other birds get out? The young logans do. But the stock birds are let into the aviary only.
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 It is really hard to tell from a pic, especially that one ;D, are they small compared to your other birds? In actual fact they are not that smaller. The pic's i posted last time were a bit misleading. One of the big logan cocks was very near the camera, but i would say that these arent that much different in size to the hen logans.
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Were they not sqeakers when you got them? Nope, apparently they were last year birds (begining of the year) Not squeaking - one of them actually grunts at me a bit when i clean the loft out - typical girl! ;D
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 could it be a Seaon Pigeon ???? what is one of those then?
darkknight Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 check that out http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7353695443324003243&q=Seaon+Pigeon&total=32&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0
883girl Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Do any of your other birds get out? Here you go Chickadee, here is one of my young logans (first flight out actually) ;D

tommy d Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 looks more like a roller than a tumbler????????
Guest MBpigeonguy Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 i have white homers, some of them come from a wguy who uses them as white dove release, and they really look like your bird, it chould be its a white ppigeon used as dove realease, it actualy looks just like my white doves, i have had them flying at a few miles, so mine are homers.
ally mac Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 If it is a mature bird I would say it is definately not a westy. Looks more likely to be a roller. They are fairly easily homed so you should be able to fly it within a couple of weeks and finding out for sure. Al.
chickadee Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 this is one for sure ha ha ha you can say that again..... :D
chickadee Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Here you go Chickadee, here is one of my young logans (first flight out actually) ;D Beautiful having a really good look around. ;D
