Blackjack, I said in the post 'Decent' Sections.

I hardly fell, which validates my point that: BICC new North section is at 620 miles from Pau International race point. so

The sections remain the same across the UK to the south of us, but the new North section runs across the top of the three existing south/central/ east sections.

Which is below that 620 race, the country split down the middle.

If I, or anyone else here abouts had a good bird, it would go un noticed.... though we have had one twice noew, or nearly, and that didn't even light a candle.

Sections will never be made more level because those that attend, dominate, and others can't get in a position to help ..... yes if voted on, they are out voted to keep the status qua.

And the sport gets stiffled even more.

Now sooner than later, which will be never,  the sections will be in lengths towards the Lib point / wind, and not the fiasco of forever catering for the East Boys.

All I would do via joining a National is bolster the coffers - in the main and mostly - of the East Coast boys. I'd rather spend the money on feed, and training, and concentrate on the Ferderation etc. And then the Almagation ... Pity we can't have a few more Alma, and then Joined to make combines, and ALL part of a national, Cheaper racing and every week more meriteous chances.

Yes it is simple to do ...  but...

different over here , in that the bird's have to make it into southern ireland first , by way of wexford or arklow , then it become's a south to north thing ,wind dosen't have any bearing ,unless its a strong west to n/west ,then the bird's go wright up the west coast of england ,scotland and come in from the north , i do see your point

Roland thier are 4 sections north ,west ,central and eastern not brilliant and they will be looked at next year. Its your club write to the secretary with your ideas. The BICC though is all about the real BICC races,Pau,Tarbes,Marsaille,Perpignan and Barcelona the shorter races were brought in as preps for the main programme.People seem to forget that and with are much larger membership 99% of them havent got the nerve or the pigeons to fly 1 race from the main programme in an international club how do you think this can be improved ! ideas anyone.

Yes that was the reason I originally joined, to fly the distance races...

then all the conflab about 'How to improve' etc. Sections, and such like and the final straw, no alternative schdule in case will couldn't fly the Channel.

All sat on their hands and twiddle with something ... possibly thumbs... :-/ ;):P and decided to do nowt!

So I bought four bags of feed instead and resigned.

Real distance sections are good I believe. If one has to have sections, they must, I believe, cater for the actual fanciers in sensible sections!

Obvious that one would think  :-/ ... But again it disappoints in that sphere too... Costwise the BICC is great. For the races Blackjack named is also good ... Now Pau for instance, surely all Concerns should go for the same liberation, and all on one Transporter... saves money... have it in turns who actually takes the birds, but surely with decreasing number, anything to offst costs have to be a bonus. Forget the politics and 'One upmanship' and do what is best and more importantly what is BEST for the hobby as a whole for a change!

Roland the problem with the BICC and the NFC etc going on the same transporter is the Nfc and others would have to go at midday no early libs its the continent which decides lib times not us and i cannot see the other UK clubs going for that can you ?.

Posted

No, of course not... And early libs are again the boon for good middle distance birds... ALL get to the coast and wait for them! Hops over in morning with tired wings, got cold , and flies in cool sea air to say the least. The Roberts you'rs mother's brother and real genuine birds become also rans when the meriteous award are given out. and as we know, for SELLING!

But they should get together and be there day before, because simply put, if one can, all can. and a far far better race , and the UK as a whole would better beneficial. I feel any way. As soon after five that if freasible, and after 8 : 30 say, a meal and bedded down for them.  But again with a warme following wind at 11 the continental's are obviously going to realease at noon!
