Distance Birds? How do you Fly Them? Condition them, would be more appropiate, and you can't do this overnight. You must be able to experience some set backs at the same time, because distance is against the pigeon, the longer it is up there. The first rule is absolute peak condition, every man to his own method some will say. If you put your heart into the birds, they will very rarely let you down,  Love of loft and owner, and love of our gallant birds, go hand in hand. This is what its all about, Surely? ;)

Just about  the way I see it too. .... I'd definately put 'Love of loft and owner ...' first, contentment next... condition is after all just an extention...
