fifer the whole droping is white and waterery feeding the birds the same since end of last years racing and this only came on last 2 weeks i havent a clue what going on

thats a different matter if they are watery, put some garlic in ur water, and miss feeding for a day, make sure the birds have water, if its only a few birds try and isolate them from others,

The type of dropping you describe is what I call an 'exertion' dropping, and everyone who has seen a bird's 1st dropping as soon as it lands from a race has seen one.

My guess is that you are seeing it immediately after your birds have landed from exercise - that is after exercising on an empty 'stomach'. And after they've been fed & watered, things quickly return to normal.

If that's the case, there is nothing wrong with your birds ... its quite normal and easily explained ... they've completely digested their last meal and have no solids left in the gut to form a normal dropping.

During flight water and urates are retained and recycled from the kidneys back through the gut and into the bloodstream as part of the birds cooling system. Soon as flight ends this recycle loop is closed the system returns to normal and these are jetisoned from the body.

Total agreement .I.B re "exertion"dropping, but in most cases it doesnt constitute the whole dropping as such or droppings as we know them, but really hope it is,as then  this is not a problem
