DJ Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 hi, ive got a 6 year old hen that came in as a stray last year but ive now noticed a small growth on the lower part of her beak and was wondering wether it could be anything to do with pigeon pox or another infectious disease ? the growth is only about the size of a grain of wheat and the same colour as the birds wattles but being a novice i thought that i should ask for advice (better safe then sorry) the bird is ok in itself and is eating/flying out as normal is it just growth from the wattles or should i be worried ? debbie
Guest j.bamling Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 It could be something what we call a Tusk which is nothing, In fact i like to see them we have had some great hens with tusks
Wiley Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 i agree with bamling sounds like its a tusks, and is something i also like to see on hens, not only have i had good racing hens with them but even more importantly good breeders.
