if you live anywhere near derby you can borrow my wife she would sort them out because she scares the s**t out of me or you could look into painting your fence with anti vandal paint awfull stuff

Sorry to hear that tom, I probabley over reacted there but these guys  some how should be taught a lesson, what gives them the right to be were they are and doing what they do at that time of night, As on a previus thread CCTV might do but that could be to late once they have torched your loft, or stolen all your stock.

Get yourself some cctv that can take decent pictures in the dark, connect it up to a recorder.  If you catch them you bring a private prosecution for tresspass.  Call the cops on them too and get yourself a big dog, if they persist after that, save up your doos droppings and drown them in it.

thank you all for your suggestions. i have a large dog, but it is dopy (can't have a nasty one, due to my son being young). when i moved into this house, i had planned to get a electric fence and will do hopefully in the next few weeks, along with a security light and cctv. for the time being i have purchased a infra red motion censor off ebay and will be getting a baby monitor. a family member has also just dropped a crossbow off for me,so i feel sorry for them if they return tonight and i hear them ;)

the trouble is they CAN TRESSPASS it is a civil matter unless they cause damage getting in or whilst in the garden its then aggrevated tresspass and they can be nicked

put some strong thin trip wire around your garden, also the scarecrow water jet you get for cats is also very good for soaking intruders, put the wires zig-zag and about 9-10 inces high.

The scumbags are bound to cause you concern, however I would`nt worry too much. Chances are they would`nt know a loft from a shed, and as such they were probably just mouching around. I doubt very much whether they`ll be back; after all, who can a smack head sell a pigeon to? That said, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits forever!!

sorry to all doom and gloom on you ,but its friday and lets face it its their favorite time to "wander around" [they can rob/burn and still get a lay in!!!!]
