Drivers CPC

Hi

Had a notification from VOSA that hgv drivers from Jan 2008 have to pass a test every 5 years and the duration of the test is a minimum 35 hours

More ******* red tape and downtime

bet it only applies to uk hgv drivers....sorry m8 :-/ :-/

they should do the same with all drivers, to many people on the road who shouldn't be!

It affects us bus drivers aswell, and i think you'll find its a class room course. and you have to complete 35 hours classroom work in the 5 years. this is what i have been told...............amanda

In order to maintain their Driver CPC, all category C and D licence holders (including C1 and D1) will be required to undertake 35 hours training every 5 years.

 

My mistake there may be a test involed, im unsure but will find out.

 

CPC applies across all EU Member States therefore all of those drivers will be required to qualify and hold a Driver CPC in exactly the same way as UK drivers.
