letter to SAGA about racing pigeons second draft

Dear Editor of SAGA,

                                        I am a 15 year old pigeon fancier from Cornwall, our sport is in great decline and I was wondering if you could help me and the whole of the other members through out England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland even the Islands of Scilly to help our sport get more members by putting a introduction to the sport in your magazine, to maybe get some of your keen readers in to the sport as its got a competitive side but has a relaxing  side watching the birds grow from babies and then starting to fly around the lofts, to training and then the final amazing stages seeing your birds come home from great distances knowing you cared for and trained that little bird!

 

And I am sure people would be willing to help people out with getting birds.

The best thing is it’s a sport for all ages of both genders, and even better its for the whole family!

 

I will be very grateful if you would do this and I will draw something up to go in the magazine and me and other fanciers will be able to help any one with any interest of the magnificent birds,

Well done Ben, i hope it goes better then my promoting attempts, i´ve been in 2 newspapers and twice on tv, in a show specially about animals and in one news show, only 1 new member that started after seeing one of the tv shows.

well done Ben i remember geordie racer being on at schools and enjoyed it so when i wanted to get started it was an inspiration as was watching blur peter and seeing a young girl on it, both encouraged me to get started and then when i started dating the girl from Blue Peter it encouraged me more so promotion does work as i remember both geordie racer and bluer peter like yesterday.

 

One question though and forgive my ignorance but what is saga magazine?

Not sure why i would have heard of it got a good few years left in me yet at the minute its still BHW , FHM (when the wife permits) or The pictorial (when i can be bothered)
