Novice Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 thought the roller shutter came down to cover the baskets then raised before liberation think the main thing is to get rid of the fowl air and get oxygen into the baskets with water on three side's the birds are a lot better off i know if certain people in positions don't get a move on fanciers are going to be leaving there organisation's and flying with ones that give there birds a better chance of returning from races I think this is a very valid point. I now compete with the Caledonian Combine for this reason even though it means travelling to send my birds on a friday night. I wonder how many thousands of pounds of lottery grants have been squandered by clubs replacing clocks which worked perfectly well with T3s and ETS when the money should have been used by the federations to buy modern transport and put the welfare of the birds first. The birds have so much more to battle against now so let's try to have them in the best possible condition to do so.
pjc Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 Novice, many clubs have obtained grants to improve there equiptment wether ets or not. Federations have also applied and received grants, we have a transporter being built at the moment but none of the grants have been scuppered as you say. All the grants are being used for the betterment of the sport. Phil
