Guest bigda Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 I think joint convoying makes sense. Homer49 shows the financial case for it is sound. What our Fed discovered last year was when the National had an inland race that clashed with our own, our own race suffered, as the birds went to the National, and we showed a loss on the race account. So we went with SNFC to both their inland races this year. And with fewer numbers going across the Channel from Scotland nowadays, there is no other way to keep costs for these race down. i don't have the problem with that its the bit that the decisions always favor the distance flier, the duplication race is the problem as it denied lanarkshire fed members the option on the one occasion that they could not duplicate into the national at a cost of the one race, as your are allowed with the young bird national, the race was decided in a unfair manner as a lot of fanciers have no control over the drag if the west or the east birds where mob handed i remember there was a race with the national from Belgium and because it did"t favor the east men so they didn"t go to it any way i am only interested in the lanarkshire at the moment and i think its not going to be the lanarkshire race any more its going to be the nationals race

frank-123 Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 good point there mate! although the blue ribband and pau is the daddy to think about the birdage in the early months could incorperate the national with that i mean get started then keep promoting every thing pigeon wise and all prestige races in all parts of the uk with a little help and public advertisement in the local and national papers the racingpost the sporting life all things sport would you be proud to here your bird getting all the lime light and of course it will help all members and improve the standards of life, for the not so fortunate. it is in our hands this we can and should have if every members support this we have flown a number of years now and deserve our place in this world. your in the sport bigda this was your reply to gareth rankin a few weeks back regarding having one big pigeon day with a long race from pau is a prestige race from 200 miles? duplication is the way forward as for distance men riding on the back of our fed they keep it going and they do have there own club its called the snfclub for distance minded flyers sprinters can race in the fed nobody forced them to join the snfc we do agree to differ but i am sure come the fed agm people will be saying it was a success going with the snfc maybe the race was poor returns wise but so was plenty other races this year
Delboy Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 when i quote my fed thats becasuse thats the one i am in what one are you in, and i havent said any thing about the quality of fanciers in it what i did say was the lanarkshire fed is in the champions leauge under shu rules and thats why i can tell the differance between :) chaff from wheat :X 8) Big cryptic da. What the f... are you talking about. Keep taking the pills m8 ;D
Guest bigda Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 good point there mate! although the blue ribband and pau is the daddy to think about the bird age in the early months could incorporate the national with that i mean get started then keep promoting every thing pigeon wise and all prestige races in all parts of the UK with a little help and public advertisement in the local and national papers the racingpost the sporting life all things sport would you be proud to here your bird getting all the lime light and of course it will help all members and improve the standards of life, for the not so fortunate. it is in our hands this we can and should have if every members support this we have flown a number of years now and deserve our place in this world. your in the sport bigda this was your reply to gareth rankin a few weeks back regarding having one big pigeon day with a long race from pau is a prestige race from 200 miles? duplication is the way forward as for distance men riding on the back of our fed they keep it going and they do have there own club its called the snfclub for distance minded fliers sprinters can race in the fed nobody forced them to join the snfc we do agree to differ but i am sure come the fed agm people will be saying it was a success going with the snfc maybe the race was poor returns wise but so was plenty other races this year i am not decrying the blue ribband or pau they are the daddy for the distance men i am sorry you cant keep up with the topic you and del boy find your selfs in, that thread was also on about a race that could celebrate the Olympics, but the penny never dropped to you, anyhow the lanarkshire fed that i am on about and know what i am going on about did not ask the members if it was all right to go with the national and also did not ask for permission to ferry other members birds in our transporter Bart you might walk about with your eyes shut but i can a sure you mate i don"t and as this is lanarkshire i am on about it will be dealt by lanarkshire fed members keep lanarkshire lanarkshire the sprint and middle distance fancier has no intention of fling the distance as that has showed its self up in the lack of interest, on more the than one :X :Doccasion.
budgie Posted July 29, 2008 Report Posted July 29, 2008 For the Fanciers who race well in both Fed and the S.N.F.C dont waste any more time responding to this Fruitcake. And as Bart quotes he changes the threads to suit his moodswings from one week to the next. When was the the last time he scored in both clubs and by the tone of his correspondance he is probaly locked up in Carstairs waiting for the Electric Chair.
