alex wight Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 Looking at the comparisons between worst parts and best parts of the season. Worst parts has had 566 viewings, and 31 comments. Best parts has had 457 viewings, and 28 comments. I would have thought there would have been a lot more highs than lows, or has it been one of those seasons?

Best parts has had 457 viewings, and 28 comments. I would have thought there would have been a lot more highs than lows, or has it been one of those seasons? I contributed to worst part thread first, cos it was a pretty disappointing low part of the season missing 2 nationals. But at the end of the day (season) I still got to 3 (inland) nationals, timed-in in all of them - a first for me, and got on 1 result (albeit without taking a position) also a first for me, and still have these pigeons, so I am looking forward to next year. I also think there are more lows than highs, but for me one high more than blanks out all the rest. Having more than one is a bonus.
Guest Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Well I contributed to the worst, perhaps I should contribute here! Winning the section in the NFC was pretty good but actually my biggest high was coming 6th in the section. I have a yearling cock vdw x Bob Mcdonald that was 2nd from 225 mies vel nine hundreds, only two on the day in the club and in the section, 5th WECA. At 304 miles 2nd club 2nd section 4th WECA velocity nine hundreds and then Tarbes 556 miles NFC 6th section 78th open on the day, that was a real joy for me, especially when I picked him out at the end of YB as being a special pigeon for the channel!
terry mccarthy Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 mine was one of 3 taking the first 3 in fed plus loads of other positions in fed sending 26 birds 516 miles to thurso and getting 16 on day rest next morning bar 2 never seen them again although they had done it 6 times between them or last week 3rd 4th 5thcombine 185 miles in a south east wind plus another 3 between 10th and 20th being 234567910 etc etc in station 1 more race to go
