Roland Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Just to say that Para is still with us big time. If you vacinate, like most countries it seems do three time within the Y/b's first three months, they have it for life... A boost is open for sceptical crictasimn, I personally don't think the birds need it. But even if Jabbed, they still get it, and are A. Carriers still, and B. often knocked sideways... or really down. So never let us forget Para.

DOVEScot Posted August 28, 2008 Author Report Posted August 28, 2008 IT WOULD BE RUN ONLY FOR RETREVAL OF LOST BIRDS THAT IS THE SUGESTION [NOT A COURIOR SERVICE ]AGREE IF THE STUD WAS A MEMBER AND ALL THEIR BIRDS GOT OUT AND WENT MISSING THEN THEY WOULD BE ENTITLED TO THE SAME SERVICE IF THEIR BIRDS WAS REPORTED ,please think logical about this instead of trying to pick holes in it [THIS WILL NEVER GET OF THE GROUND I REALISE THIS ,BECAUSE IT IS TO DO WITH PIGEONS ,BUT IT COULD IF EVERY RPRA MEMBER PUT THEIR BRAIN IN GEAR INSTED OF SITING ON IT .] Les. I like your passion for what you propose but your planning and practical skills need worked on, you say only want people to invest their time and money in returning strays, which will be mostly during the yb season, some fly aways and injured birds, you will certainly get volunteers and helpful members to fill their time and you may get some with money to burn but you are hardly going to get a business up and running that will only last for the racing season :-/

pjc Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 seems to be very little coming from the RPRA to a solution! I think, yet again head is in the sand hopeing somebody else will sort it out! Phil
joe61 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 the best thing to be done is knock the rpra down to ground level and start again you pay their wages and moan then pay them the following year and moan some more and so it goes on and on and on so get off your bums guys as the sport is going down the gusher rapid look out doh doh here we come oh happy days
Nick H Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Sorry for jumping in on the end of this thread but my interest is in solving the problem of moving pigeons from A to B quickly, safely, legally and at a cost effective price to the individuals involved. I run a network with 1400 courier companies as members and have the resources to put a network in place that can meet all the above, but..... as I`m from a farming background I know a bit about livestock movements, desease control etc but no nothing about pigeons, as for the legislation regarding the movement of pigeoans this I know - what I dont know is the volumes involved on an anual basis etc - this will enable us to put a proposal together for you the professionals to consider?? Nick

Nick H Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Yes we do, but forgive me for not putting the name of it on this thread as the last time we did that we were inundated with requests to do work we were not prepared for and nearly fell flat on our face - send me an email and I will let you have a link to our site so you can see we are serious. njhiscox@googlemail.com
