wee red hens Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 could anybody tell us what sort of distance this strain is best for thank you
Ian Parsons Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I tried this family 20 years ago. The birds I had were all bred off the best. After 3 years trying,my conclusion was that they were the worst birds I had ever had. Couldnt got them near the clock at any distance.
oscar_ Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 frank correct me if im wrong ,was it not a imbrecht that you won the scottish one loft race with :-/
Guest Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 yes the sire bred me many winners up to 350/400 great for middle distance i ended up with a loft full of them hard to lose but never ever managed to even get 1 home from france gave the sire of the £25,000 winner to a guy i met in blackpool (free)that had just started hope he will let me know when he breeds some winners for him as iam sure he will
Guest Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 just wondered when i bought the stock hen it was from a Dr Barry Pearson who was dying and a fancier in aberdeen who was dealing with the sale birds cant remember what his name was i wonder if he is a member on here? the sire was bought from Roy Croxton devon i think great pair of birds up to 350/400mls
hotrod Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I bought the best in 1984 lovely birds won lots of firsts inc first feds won in show pen but over 300 miles rubbish.I found they were to soft and got rid of them after abouf 5 or 6 years ,so you can see i gave them time :(
Fair Play Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 I have quite a few that I purchased from Vallance but have crossed them with Wildemeersch,Theelen & Jan Aarden lovely birds and if I get a few winners at 300/400 miles I will be more than happy. One of Frank's Imbrechts (I think) flew well in the RPRA yearling OLR. I will continue to look for a cross for the yearlings this year after all Germaine flew some cracking pigeons, but then again I am not him but "live in HOPE"
Guest Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 1 also won 8th in the rpra 2005 10 birds droping together and another 70th europa along with others in 1 loft races all imbrechts
