ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 yep all best kept as to old to dispose of or old faverits rest sold and down rd rest paired up sitting next sales birds
Guest strapper Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Strapper it's an Entire clearence sale so in theory they will be unregistered so how can they represent GB at the Olympiad the rule of not starting back up again is for racing.....showing i think is a different matter, if it is an entire clearance and the sale is b4 the olympiad then i find it strange as the birds would have been sold.
Guest strapper Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 same old story, entire clearence means no racing for 3 years,it goes ona ll the time, ;D ;D ;D they can carry on breeding, carry on training, carry on racingBUT IN SOMEONE ELSES NAME.Years ago entire clearence meant something, now it`s just another sales gimmic, half of these dont even get rid of their lofts, with plenty of birds still in them, but sell to mugs at the shows ect..will we never learn. i dont think there is a rule that they cant bid and buy their own birds back at the auction, ive seen this done when a partnership split up. as you said they can change flying name and they can race again.
kirky Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Strapper it's an Entire clearence sale so in theory they will be unregistered so how can they represent GB at the Olympiad thay cant compeat in races or shows.
kirky Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 just looked at rpra rule, clearance sales, the loft & address prohibited for 3 years from date of sale from competing in any race or show, purchasing any rings or having further sales. dont no if nehu are the same but thay should be.
REDROCKET Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 can someone explain the point of this rule sounds a bit daft to me to beat the rule all you have to do is keep one bird surely(shrug)(shrug)(shrug)
kirky Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 can someone explain the point of this rule sounds a bit daft to me to beat the rule all you have to do is keep one bird surely(shrug)(shrug)(shrug) some do keep a few old favourits, but cant race show get rings or transfer only breed ybs for others with there rings.
Guest strapper Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 all they have to do is change venue where loft is and go under a new name , new birds . or ...be silent partners with someone else.
Guest cloudview Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 same old story, entire clearence means no racing for 3 years,it goes ona ll the time, ;D ;D ;D they can carry on breeding, carry on training, carry on racingBUT IN SOMEONE ELSES NAME.Years ago entire clearence meant something, now it`s just another sales gimmic, half of these dont even get rid of their lofts, with plenty of birds still in them, but sell to mugs at the shows ect..will we never learn. in this instance ithink your point is very valid , beareavment sales are the one,s to go to , more so if you knew the deceaced, reduction sales are very suspect, same fanciers every year selling 50 odd summer bred youngsters , usually never flown out , been kept in avairies ready for the gullable
Guest Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 I was under the impression that an entire clearance sale meant that you could not race, show or sell pigeons for three years. It does NOT mean that you cannot keep or breed pigeons or be a member of a club, and as such you can purchase rings either from your club or privately from your the RPRA for your own use
Beanz Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Rules must have changed then as this was in RPRA and he had rings for 3 years on the trot. Paul
me Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Rules must have changed then as this was in RPRA and he had rings for 3 years Paul This is a meaningless rule and would not stop anyone selling off their birds and keeping going.
