bobtail Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 :'( :'( :'(just to say what a lot of rubbish is going into the bags of feeding just now we are getting ripped off once again. :'(
Wiley Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 to be honest, i bought the Gem moulting mixture, however bad thing about london theres no pigeon food shops, so i get my corn delivered, so didnt check mnixtures ect, i know alot of people are fans of Gem Corns, but personally I dont like them this moulting mixture and racing mixture i hadnt been very impressed with, just personally opinion, i personally believe the two best corn manufactors out there is Marimans and Vanrobaeys
Wiley Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Have the corn shops all gone now Wiley? yes PJC last one to close was Lenny Meshers in Canning Town, now if your to get corn its about a 40 mile round trip from my house to Basildon, or a 30 mile round trip to the farm in upminister.
Beanz Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 The problem is more and more will close as the sport declines and the price of corn keeps escalating, soon only the large companies will be left and you will have to order it in bulk and pay the delivery charges, hope i'm wrong. Paul

OLDYELLOW Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 could be worth while getting a few club members together in your area and bulk buy corn and split the cost then works cheaper for all
Chriss Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 yeah a few relatives of mine up in scotland do that for bird food
OLDYELLOW Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 i think with the inflated prices and i cant see them coming down as they'll be enjoying the profit margins it will certainly see them through the credit crunch
Chriss Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 your probly right yellow - always worth a try though
Guest Freebird Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Farmer friend says he can't get rid of his crops this year and the price is way low! I know the imported stuff will be higher due to fuel etc but somats going on(wiseman)
frank-123 Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 i use marimans varimix it's quite expensive but i don't keep a lot of birds so like to give the best during the moult i will add barley in the next couple of weeks which will make it last longer
