i have entered in many 1 loft races some very good some not so good the one thing that jumps out is that every year more and more people start up 1 loft races and to be truthfull dont have any idea what it is all about you will see stuff you never thought was possible the fanciers that will send you very sick birds some wont know they are sick some will but still send them anyway and you need to be very organised regarding taking the birds into the loft if you get that wrong wait till you see the mess that comes after that dont mean to sound all doom and gloom but if you dont get it right from the start it might put you out of the birds for good thats a fact and i would not like to see that happen good luck

but you only gave it 4 weeks at this time of the year that time is nothing most are just getting over racing/moulting its after xmas they start thinking of things like that but i still think you made the right decision good luck what ever you decide
