Guest Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 shu rings issued on the first postal date in january 5th this year clubs can issue after the 1st as most feds have them by the middle of december
peterpau Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 if your in r p r a you will not get them till 5th jan so the ybs wil be 9 days old Might be worth taking eggs in to the house for a couple o' days put pot eggs under the parents and then put propper eggs back under a couple o' days later. You'll get the rings on then !
van Roberts Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 aint these eggs to early seem to get rings earlier and earlier thought didnt get rings untill 10 jan
peterpau Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 Far too early for me but if you have 'em you could delay the hatch by 3 days may be. I am gonna split mine at Christmas. My babbies will be bread in the warmth and grow overnight like mushrooms.
van Roberts Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 correct peterpau i think most lofts aint set up for winter breeding
ransom50 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 i ve paired my stock birds up at the same time every year,it can be freezing they dont seem to bother, the yb are always strong and robust never had any prob with them, and i always get my rings on time unless the postie late hope he isint because ive 31 pair down then iam in sh** creek ;D ;D winter breeding does take time and youve got to feed correctly and condition them to make them want to go down when its minus 6 i love it best part of year appart from racing
peterpau Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 So how are you gonna get rings on a nine day old babby
