jimmy white Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 the old story crops up often ,,,,,, what percentage pigeon - - what percentage management [or man or woman ] , weve had this post on in the past,[a few years ago], it would be interesting to see if if it were any different to-day
The Navigator Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 I would have said pigeon all day, but looking at the champion fanciers, they change strains many times and come up with the goods.
Guest spin cycle Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 i think fancier 67% pigeon 33 %. JMO though as i know squit.
jimmy white Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 i would say [keeps me in the middle ;D] without proper management ,, unsuccessfull without proper stock ,,,,,unsuccessfull but with plenty good well bred pigeons around to-day , i would stick my neck out and say management 80 per cent maybe a bit on the high side , but i beleive that good management can select pigeons capable of winning and cabable of using them in the proper way you will see the same names at the top often with completely different breeds or birds , these fanciers are both stock and racing fanciers that have prooved themselves for many years , only my opinion
Guest anto Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 fancier 90 pigeon 10 its the hard work of the fancier that makes him or her a top flyer some people might think thats a bit one sided but thats what i think the pigeon is bread 2 fly its the fanciers job 2 see 2 the pigeons every need you only get out of this game what you put in you wont win races lying in bed
Guest bigda Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 management 65% if you over feed them dead loss, under feed them loss them, cant see the doo wining either way on its own, needs all the help it can get but has to have the ability, to be given the chance so i say 65% man------35%bird
Roland Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 90% managerment, and 10% a GOOD pigeon!
