Best to go via Scotland, we had our tolls abolished
PigeonTracker Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 It's £10.60 for small vans Paul, Then you have the M6 Toll road, the £8 charges to go into London, the £2 charges to get onto the M25 (First time I'd ever seen that one this week) Wouldn't even give me a reciept to claim vat!. Truth is Scotland is a nightmare in rush hour and only the M25 and M6 are worse but if you plan around these times they have the best road systems in the UK and as dovescot said, they're free.
ACE LOFTS Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 just got back from wales today and it was £5.30
PigeonTracker Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 just got back from wales today and it was £5.30 Did you notice whether small van prices had changed?

Hi Paul, basically what your saying they've put it up,with vat ruduction there should have been 13.75p less.
JM Couriers Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 We have a LWB Movano which is invisible on the severn bridge, so no tolls paid by us I went across 2 days ago and it would have been £10.60 That means customers in Wales get the same prices as the rest of the country, otherwise the toll charges have to get added in somewhere along the line. I agree, the M25 is a great big car park at times. The best drive I've had around it was in the middle of the night! Julia
Guest Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Paid £5.30 as normal Saturday when Lydia went to see her dad. She tells me it's going up Jan 1st to £5.40 (cars), but with the VAT reduction it will probably stay at £5.30.
Guest strapper Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 anyone know how much they make for one month ...nice to have that in a bank account. lol

Julia That's a difficulty couriers face when delivering Julia, who do you pass the toll fee on to? Look at London for example, some roads have gone up to £8 to go on if you have to use them. Even the M25 charges you from the Kent end, then there's the M6 toll road which can be another £10 or near as can be. That said my major worry is for London and surrounding areas including the car park, especially with several lanes closed new season which is one of the topics that should be approached in v near future. Its not always going to be about tolls but time as you can be on some of these roads for the best part of a day with no chance of rescue from another van. :o
