Guest
So very sad. A few years back I organised a YB exchange among distance fanciers on the IPPR, I wanted to involve Scottish long distance men. I managed to get Dale's 'phone no and he supplied me with 'phone no.s of top men like the Rankins and Jim at Peterhead. Dale didn't know me from Adam but he went out of his way to help, for me it was a privilege to speak to this great man, especially to realise how humble and kind he was. Because of him the YB exchange was a real success. My sincere condolences to Dale's family, Rest In Peace.

me
At a time like this many thoughts go through our heads but as pigeon men we should try and hold on to the thought that the quality of this mans birds were a measure of the man himself. I (or should I say me) am privliged to own some of Dale's birds. Further down the road that will be this mans epithath, birds bred by him or bred down from his birds will still be recording performances Dale would have been proud of. As pigeonmen/women what greater reminder would we like to go on after us than the continuing success of our family of birds? On a human (family) scale of course this means nothing and in that respect I would pass my very best wishes on to his nearest and dearest. retired
Sincerest condolences to all the Newcombe family at this sad time. I first heard about Dale and his success from Jim Smith who was a close friend of mine, i havent had the pleasure to try any of his birds yet but no doubt will do in the future. Rest in Peace
