pjc Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 i've seen it used but when it gets very dry it gets dusty and gets messy if it gets wet. Also the birds seem to spend a lot of time forageing in it and may even eat it so you need to be careful whats in it!
Novice Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Peat is pretty acidic. It is used to prepare soil for acidloving plants. I would be careful.
