Gail J Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 well lunch is over must get back to work now, c u all later
pjc Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 i think the union rules should be changed making it the responsibility of the vendor/breeder to transfer his birds. At the end of the day its in the sellers interest to get the birds transfered as they would be responsible for courier costs if the birds were to be reported at any point in there life! Phil
Gail J Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 That's what I was trying to say earlier Phil, I know some sellers put the payment on the price of the birds, at least that way they know they are transfered
Gail J Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Too late Phil, N O M last day Friday 20th Feb
pjc Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 even from the committee? Have they been sent out to clubs etc yet?
Gail J Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 not yet, going out prob next week, doing them ready now and updating ring list so that be out early too, committee and 1 club n o m, not many this year
REDCHEQHEN Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 I have always filled out the transfer forms and sent them in at my own expense - I've never sold any birds - but have given youngsters away It pays (as in saves in the long run) to be a forward thinker But then I'm a woman (evil)

BOGOF and throw one away cos its out of date haha ;D ;D ;D ;D No, seriously, it does make sense for the seller to fill out and send transfer forms away. The only down to this is the signatures, if birds are not collected in person, so you are still at the hands of the seller to sign and post on to the union.

Guest Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Yes that's another option OY. or when birds are free, they are not sent out until signed transfer is received by new owner.
blaz Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 guilty as charged will look them out and get them sent

Get the RPRA to change the rules with the NEHU the only signature required is that of the 'sellers' the new owners don't need to sign the transfer

pjc Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Get the RPRA to change the rules with the NEHU the only signature required is that of the 'sellers' the new owners don't need to sign the transfer I thought all transfers only required the vendors signature but require both vendor and new owners names & addresses!
Peckedhen Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 You are right Phil - needs both loft numbers too.
pjc Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 in which case there is nothing stopping the vendor sending them except for the £1 plus stamps, but could save agro latter. Phil
