OLDYELLOW Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 are you experiencing wet dropping from ybs around the nest ? maybe there yearlings feeding ? they tend to pump the ybs up with water in order to fill them resulting in the wet droppings
ALF Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Personally i wouldn't treat for anything while they are feeding y/b's
Guest Owen Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Try clay blocks. Keep them down 100% of the time. I bet they will use up an awful lot of them. But stick with it. It will do nothing but good. Fresh grit every day will also help. And treat your birds, young and old, for canker and cocci after weaning the YBs. Normally, I would say that you should do a droppings test, because it is possible you could have worms, for example. But under the circumstances you need to take some action, and quick. Make sure that you clean your feeders and drinkers properly. And at the first available opportunity, clean the floor. You can use a burner or a good disinfectant for the floor. Not Jeyes. Bleach is good.
