alex wight Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 I personaly would speak to local fanciers, and the club you aim to join. The club members will help you out with the correct clock, and may even borrow you one till you settle into the sport.
Guest amar Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 ive spoken to a few people that race in bradford but not 1 will point me in the right direction wont even tell me wer the club is
OLDYELLOW Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 send R.P.R.A a email with your address and ask for local clubs in your area theyll send you the information you require use link below: http://www.rpra.org/ContactUs/tabid/71/Default.aspx

PIGEON_MAN Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 hi can any1 help me plz i wana start racing nxt year and ive seen a pigeon clock on ebay can sum1 plz advise me if its any gud and how much it is worth plz http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/racing-pigeon-clock_W0QQitemZ200252324159QQihZ010QQcategoryZ25426QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem These clocks are very good,I,ve got one myself which I use mainly as a Master timer now since having ETS, for members that still use standard clocks, but they also need a printer with them which is needed to take out the timings, this will be a problem if the club that you join hasn,t got one and there is no menstion of a printer on the advert,If I were you I would give this one a miss mate,I,m sure there may be someone on here that may have a old clock that you could have to start you off.
Guest strapper Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 maybe an stb quartz will be a better choice to start off with ...just in case u have second thoughts...no so much expense then if u decide to pack in...u can get them for around the £40 -£50 mark..or a t3 around the £100 mark. ive a m8 selling a stb but its not a quartz ..its a wind up...think he wanted about £30-£35 summut like that for it. if it was mine u could have had it . he,s got a t3 and we had new ones from a lottery grant too..thats the reason he,s selling it.
