hotrod Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 how can they possibly win the national when they will be racing east route for the next three years sorry gareth but i would not send until we race back down west waste of time trying ;D ;DHOW CAN YOU SAY THIS FRANK i won our race and AGAINST the odds so how cant guys like rankin, hannah, cullen, hay, hood, o'hara ,eddie, cosgrove (has), callan, buchanan and i could go on ,not win a national as ive said before ,if you dont believe you can win you never will. DONT BE SCARED OF THESE GUYS IN THE EAST THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE BOYS IN THE WEST(NO DISRESPECT MENT)
Guest Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 will be soon ;D ;D ;D ;D .2010 down the west u bet what your brain is going down the west? if the rule has been passed that l/f are going east for 3 years that means 2012 before ghange can happen i could be wrong with the calks as i missed a bit of school time hence the spelling
Guest uphallhen Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 We will be trying uphallhen but there are many just like us that would love to win a national. Makes no odds if the pigeons fly east or west with fed as a pigeon in a SNFC goes straight from A to B with allowances made for wind and terrain. do you think that they are going straight From A to B IN THE FED OR ARE THEY doing the dog leg back when down the east. ;)
nogin Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 This is like the movie GROUNDHOG DAY. ;D ;D VINNIE HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE FLASH IN THE PAN ????????? DO YOU GET ME DRIFT

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 do you think that they are going straight From A to B IN THE FED OR ARE THEY doing the dog leg back when down the east. ;) The winning pigeons in the clubs and feds are going straight from A to B (Allowance for Wind) The only pigeons that do the dog leg are ones that are not fit and poorly motivated for that week.
hotrod Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 The winning pigeons in the clubs and feds are going straight from A to B (Allowance for Wind) The only pigeons that do the dog leg are ones that are not fit and poorly motivated for that week. totally dissagree gareth when was the last time you got a bird from a race out the south,my wee pal in the gow has never had a bird out the south for many many years, i know ALL my birds come out due east to east northeast its the only way into my area unless its a blow home and they come over the hills , birds DONT GO straight from A-B they follow contours of the country side , that could mean a snake like pattern,A BIG SNAKE .
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Wind determines Hotrod, 1st 5 old bird races in the Lanarkshire fed last year was a east wind what direction did they come - out of the west back from port Glasgow ;), well the least motivated ones did. Stuart you quote your pigeons come from the east to north east this is because as you have said yourself you are not in the one bit interested in club racing to which you would never keep up with the likes of for example the MacAloneys etc who have got the bloodlines for that distance, have them motivated and in outstanding condition for the race that they have prepared them for. As for when was the last time i had a pigeon out of the South, happened with approx 40% of the doos in 2008 while flying straight from the south. Remember most of the west of Scotland dont fly from the south they fly at the start of the old and young bird season from the east/south east with the later races being from the south east. Motivation, Blood, Health and condition = A to B (Allowance for wind)
Guest KING BILLY Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 in the earley races if the fed is getting won on flying time not over fly the does are not going from a to b if the fed toppers in coatbridg but if the races where won with over fly then the does are going frome a to b
Guest youngzimmy Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 IF YOU WANT TAE FLY WEST MOVE TO THE WEST THE WILD WEST USA AND SHUT TAE FXXK UP
hotrod Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 IF YOU WANT TAE FLY WEST MOVE TO THE WEST THE WILD WEST USA AND SHUT TAE FXXK UP who is this aimed at?

hotrod Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 ;) So are you telling me that in a strong East wind your pigeons are still coming out of the east/north east. yes they do .They go right over the top of me , and ive said mostly east and sometimes eastnortheast
hotrod Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 ive seen the lanarshire pigeons fly by me on a saturday heading back east to lanarshire in a strong east wind last year , BECAUSE THE FED RACED DOWN THE WEST ROUTE ,I BELIEVE MOST OF THE BIRDS WONT COME UP THROUGH BEATOCK MOFFAT AREA BECAUSE THE MASS AMOUNT OF HAWKS IN THAT AREA SO GO WITH THE WIND UP THE WEST COAST AND BACK EAST INTO LANARKSHIRE
rebel Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 we have been training from the summit with very little or no losses,if you want to be head of the pack your birds have got to come through it
