Chairman Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Well done Strapper, it makes sense to make these good people known to us all, there as many different mixtures, many different brands at prices to meet every pocket but the main criteria is the corn must be clean, dry and smells as sweet as honey for those of us who are not experienced enough in this field you can always guage the quality of what you feed to your birds by the droppings on the perches next morning. There is a lot of sense in helping each other with information such as this whilst most of us are gripped in this credit crunch. I appreciate your goodwill gesture Paul.

I appreciate your goodwill gesture Paul. well i feel this corn is a top grade corn and when you get multi national winning lofts use it who can argue with that? i know a double national distance fancier who ONLY buys this corn and none other!. what i do feel is courtesy by richard the owner goes a long way...speak to him and he will glady talk about what you require in your mixtures. he was at the welsh show in aberdare showing his corn mixtures at the last show.
bullcock Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 We just go a ton of feeding from Swainstons feeds from Co Durham cutting out the middle man, saving around £1 a bag which at 50 x 20kg bags is £50,delivery is free for minimun orders of 1 ton.(this can be made up of different feeds i.e 25 widowhood and 25 breeding). you just need storage for it.
Guest strapper Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 i got them big blue barrels keeps everything dry and has screw on tops. plus one or tow bins.
maxwell Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I would have to agree about the Court Farm Corn been having our corn from there for at least 15yrs, never had any problem,s using it whether it be for racing or breeding. He also does a very good Moulting Mix that is excellent value. And also will deliver to the door if you order a full load.
