i have a 7 year old hen still no eggs from her .this hen has been away from me for 2 years . she is now settled back in hear. she handles very well and looks as bright as a button .she sits on nest bowl daily but her vent is still closed . any tips much apreshated.

id wait before making any rash discissions gary m8...older birds can take longer to go down if not fully fertile.

ive got 2 birds like this cock has trob the hens they will sit in nest bowl most of the day but not lay this has been happening since early feb i took some eggs from the racing loft and stuck them under each hen they have hatched and reared 1 round each and now sitting their second round if they wont lay make use of them and get them to sit some eggs . btw the hens are 05 and 07

just had a 10yr old hen lay and she's been paired from the 12th feb,only laid 1 egg tho'

does this hen fly out?? if not,, could be fat ,, , could be, between that, and change of loft,, or both,,

sometimes, quicker in the end,, seperating for a week, ,,feed lightly ,,depurative, with wheatgerm oil,  , with a little hemp,, keep on its own.. then try it back with the cock,, hope your lucky
