succesful first year!!!!

i am just on to thank all for the help on this site with a great first year .... i won the novice in a very difficult club ... i got a 3rd club 620 birds and i was 5 th fed out of 6145 birds out of mallow ...i got a 5 th club 590 odd and a 7 th club and 9t h club with 6oo odd birds in both races ....i think its a phoenoimal accievement for my first year and to all beginners if they are healthy you have as good a chance than anyone ....best of luck .... plus most will help you on here ... but some wont aswell .... good luck .... michael dublin ireland

great result mate well done u  did better than me in my first year lol but its all great fun winning or loosing

no it aint matter much about the results in the first year as me you and loads others are only out to build our teams ...also my birds only raced half the program to stop the cocks for this year  ( widowhood cocks ) i picked 9 out ..... i had great buzz they only raced 6 races as they were mot on the darkness system but they will be next year !!!!!! cant wait for blackpool the place you learn plenty for us lot !!!! cheers mikey

Maybe you should put your name forward for the MickB Trophy well done on your yb results , i wish you all the best for 2009 season   just try improving by 50% each year you'l soon get to the top

yeah it was a very good year without getting carried away as i look to improve next year ... i love to hear what people s idea are and then i decide if i want to proceed with the idea like give it a go and some i say no dont fancy that .... i always listened to loads including here and i took what i thought to be right ...i started the year with 44 youngsters .... they were all fit and well going the first race , no injuries ....did not have sickness for the year not 1 bird and when i sent them for the first race i could not get them back quick enough ...im think ing i might be wiped out here but when first arrived it was breath taking but i got 6 together .... they were  not far behind winner ... i builded them and the 3rd race i got 9 th . 4 th i got 7 th then i tried something else in the 5 th race and i got 3 rd ...they were starting to moult so i got one more race and when they were behind i stopped straight away ...ive 26 left ...i picked 9 cocks for next year and i tell you the shape , condition the way they went through the moult is phoenominal !!!!!! im delighted but its how they respond from now on ... it was great result 3 rd club 5 th fed club sent over 600 birds ... fed sent over 6000 birds ... delighted with that but honestly my proudest so far was sending 44 youngsters to the first race and getting 44 home !!!!  cant explain the excitment i got from that ... i love the way the birds try so hard ... it makes tears in my eyes .... what a sport ...long may it continue fellow fliers .... gladdo .... mikey
