Dear Mr McKay,

                            We were very excited when we received your email about the kingslea 1 loft race. Due to the weather conditions unfortunately we were unable to attend the Aberdeen University event.

We were very disappointed that we missed the event. We were excited to hear that we were gifted a pigeon.  We would like to name him/her Woody, which fits in well with our school name.

Having missed the event at the University we have a few questions we hope you can answer.

Is our pigeon a boy or girl?

When is our pigeon racing?

Can you tell us more about our pigeon?

Where is the race with our pigeon?

We look forward to seeing a photograph of Woody on the website you referred us to.

Steven Girdwood has donated 2 ybs from his Micket Betts Jos Soonjens for the charity.

Steven flies in the Pentland Hills Fed and has won 8 Fed prizes in the top ten with offspring from these birds

Had a phone call from Danny informing me he has aquired a bird from G MaCaloney&Son-Coatbridge from the mighty Lanarkshire Federation now if you want distance birds check on these guy's

No need to say much more Brian & Angie are top class fliers and have won the KINGS cup from Lerwick in the NRCC you don't get better than that.

Gordon Willox winner of the Gold Cup Alencon race in the MIghty SNFC 2008 has just phoned and offered something special.

 

Now you must remember he is going to get an lot of requests but has taken the time to phone and offer a donation for this good cause

 

This goes to show what a brilliant idea bringing pigeon racing to the kids at school is.

I fully understand your predicament and thanks for your support.

 

It was an idea I had after visiting Aberdeen University to speak to three classes of school children

 

It has been a wonderfull experiance and fully supported by pigeon fanciers.

 

I had a phone call from Gordon Willox winner of the Alencon Gold Cup Race in the SNFC 2008 donating a bird.

 

When you get opportunities like this you know you are doing somthing right.

John & Alex Mellor from Lepton, Huddersfield are this time offering 1 young bird from their Stock Walter Dox birds. A very exceptional gift.

 

All stock were hand picked over a 5yr period

 

The bird will be ready in 2 / 3 months

Secondly...... it will be a pleasure to donate a youngster for your sale, I will provide details as soon as I can. Probably looking at ready in 6 weeks time, it will contain top Scottish national lines,hope this is OK.
