Guest rodders Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 i used to clean each day then i was at an old guys loft and seen his drinker it had greesish algi on bottom then speaking to a guy afew lofts down i said that old guys drinkers are minging .he said have a look at my drinkers and his was the same. he explaind why so now mine are the same. as for the vote at the top i see that one or 2 are telling lies as we all clean drinkers sooner or later there was an old boy up this way whos drinkers were like that and he did a lot of winning loulla bought quite a few of his birds and use to send him new strains to try out my m8 looked after his pigeons one year while he was on holiday and cleaned drinkers out the old boy went mad needless to say he wasnt asked to look after again ;D ;D ;D
Guest challengerlofts Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 i clean their drinkers & change water, 2x a day.
andy Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 I've two drinkers per section which are alternated, one in use the other washed and left it to dry. Water changed twice per day so the drinker I take out in the morning is cleaned and left to dry then is used in the afternoon. I do the same
jimmy white Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Never ask a pigeon to drink water- That you will not drink. i think the simple, but best post on this subject
