Guest Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Well went to Stuart's today to have a look at his birds. Some super distance pigeons, the last hen I saw was probably the best long distance breeding hen I have put my glass on. But what blew me away was the quality of the sprint / middle distance birds, don't ask me what breed they were cause I'm not really into strain names but they were super pigeons, didn't realise Stuart was a top sprint man too! I went to Stuart's because he offered to lend me a hen to go with the cock I bought at Keith Nethercott's sale. I did say to Stuart I hope he wouldn't mind if I didn't take it, if it wan't what I was looking for! Well being a cheeky blighter I declined, then he brought out a different hen to borrow, what a belter, which is now in my loft!!! Thank you Stuart :) ;D

Guest Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Hi Kev i know about those ones im hoping they get picked up next wed or thurs. :) i was talking about the hen hes just been lent by Stuart :) just me being cheeky lol ;D Amanda, I hope the ones you get will be good enough to be in the top 5% of the UNC YB national!!! (I did see some super birds at Stuart's!!) In particular 43 & 44 I have bred for you, the parents of which I rate as good as Stuart's top breeding pair (I hope ). You'll have no pedigrees until the end of the season though!! Mind if they go overboard you won't need them anyway ;D!! Kav D those YB you and I had from Asha are terrific. Can I also mention to all that the YB Asha bred are excellent long distance YB, and he has bred them out of kindness and generosity. He often gets a bad press and sometimes is abrasive but he is a good un and I'm honoured to call him a friend.

Guest Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 I was at Stuarts last year picking up 2 class birds and he showed me some of his stock which were also outstanding and impeccably bred. One hen did take the eye (and hand!), a De Klak i think, which had already bred the goods, a real beaut.
jimmy white Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 well done stuart,, and good luck albear ,, seems youve got the hen you want good luck with the breeding, stuart wilcox really gets a good name in both racing and selling birds, ive had birds myself from him, and could only describe them as ,,crackers
swilcox Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks all for the kind words, i do try my best!!!! I said to Alan that i believe i have the best bird in the world and in Red Lady a dream pigeon was born that has bred winners all over the world. Shame she is just a pet now but she will always have a perch in my loft. Red Lady 5 x 1st from Bergerac and Bordeaux including 1st Nat Bordeaux I was pleased to hear that the Frans Zwols had potential too. Stuart

Red Lady 5 x 1st from Bergerac and Bordeaux including 1st Nat Bordeaux I was pleased to hear that the Frans Zwols had potential too. Stuart Red Lady was fantastic!!!!!!!!! Them Frans Zwols weren't just pigeons to win many firsts but topping the combine 3000/4000 birds for Stuart. You can see the quality, I was saying to Stuart 'x' pigeon was the worst in the loft and he was saying to me it has won. Yes and in most lofts it would be a good un but in Stuart's Racing section it was poor compared to some of the other top birds!!!! Such is the quality and you have my word on that, I ain't trying to blow any smoke, these birds are top top pigeons. If you're not succeeding but have in the past get hold of Stuart and buy some of these it will be money well spent. No I'm not on commission or anything, I always try and be honest and help ordinary fanciers like me and it is the first time I have been to Stuarts.
