Gail J Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 it goes to show wing stamping is good then ;D
paul10121968 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 it goes to show wing stamping is good then ;D i agree, allows you to contact the owner direct.i have ordered a wing stamp for my own birds.mr evans was really keen to pick his bird up which was nice.
Guest Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 it goes to show wing stamping is good then ;D yes i agree but were not allowed to wingstamp old birds just young birds even young birds wingstamps have to be blanked out if they are entered into the y/b national

Guest strapper Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 yes i agree but were not allowed to wingstamp old birds just young birds even young birds wingstamps have to be blanked out if they are entered into the y/b national although its the rules its a little irresponsible, for who ever finds them wont know whose birds they are...they have to ring the union then the owner which makes it more costly for the finder...no wonder they dont wanna report birds these days.
gooner Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 why do they have to be blanked out for the nationals and why do old birds not have to be stamped
Guest Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 why do they have to be blanked out for the nationals and why do old birds not have to be stamped SHU and SNFC rules as far as i know i know that SNFC birds cannot be marked in any way probably to avoid the chance of cheating same as in shows so the judge doesnt know whos bird hes judging thats my understanding of it could be wrong ?
Guest Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 SHU and SNFC rules as far as i know i know that SNFC birds cannot be marked in any way probably to avoid the chance of cheating same as in shows so the judge doesnt know whos bird hes judging thats my understanding of it could be wrong ? You are quite right mate, in theory, it's done to TRY and stop cheating, but there are dishonourable people in all aspects of pigeons. If people want to cheat then not wing stamping or covering address rings isn't going to solve the problem. What's to stop them giving a convoyer or a judge a piece of paper with the ring numbers of his pigeons on it.
