pigeonpete Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Im new to pigeon racing and my heart goes out to the owner of these birds ,Being of a soft hearted nature when it comes to any kind of living thing, So to my horror i went to a pigeon fanciers loft and found a bin full of last years birds is he scum or is this an exceptable part of the sport because I find it hard to except on both scales. that isnt good, but you will find if you race your birds in the correct manor, you will very rarely have to dispose of, unless they get injured or become sick beyond repair, let the basket be your selector my friend, and enjoy!

pjc Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 dont know the full story i know, but i would say not a true pigeon man, as if they were all last years bird, how on earth could he have tried them fully? There are also many people though who don't fly birds out, fancy birds, show racers etc, so there is no basket selection there has to be human selection. I know there are often new starters who will take birds but if a bird isn't good enough for me its not good enough for a new starter and they would get the best i could give them to start them off on the right foot. Sorry drifting from topic.
Guest Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Just thinking out loud here, the birds were apparently stabbed through the back to front, that's 150 of them, we all know that its not easy to capture birds at best of times if they are excited so it must be an experienced fancier who did this?> Whoever did it will have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives, poster said the police were involved so there would be a crime number perhaps if posted here anyone who knew something they could anonymously or openly phone police and give tip off. As much as I hate grasses this has to be exception to the rule because no-one should be allowed to get away with this kind of thing. > > > >
Peckedhen Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Terrible news.... yet again. > > Just thinking out loud here, the birds were apparently stabbed through the back to front, that's 150 of them, we all know that its not easy to capture birds at best of times if they are excited so it must be an experienced fancier who did this?> ] I thought this too but, would an experience d fancier stab the birds??
OLDYELLOW Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Terrible news.... yet again. > > ] I thought this too but, would an experience d fancier stab the birds?? birds are at rest in dark so easily captured but as you say a fancier wouldnt of stabbed all the birds 1 is too much blood the other is not the way fanciers dispose of birds , they obviously had no fear of been caught sounds like a disgruntled bunch of yobs , my heart goes out to this fancier i hope they have the strenght to contunue

Some F*** must have known what they were doing.
Guest bigda Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 what the pigeon men need if they stay in an allotment or a dodgy area, is a shilty dog i think that's what they are called, anyway the "dont bark " any trouble leave the dog in the loft trained for eating yobs, and that is the cure for these c-unts, and should any pigeon fancier at all, getting any hassle from these yobs, in your area all meet up at night and kick the crap out of them. that's the type of dog that pigeon men should all have and the Ned's will soon know why we have them silent killers :-/

Guest bigda Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 wouldnt it be nice if all pigeon fanciers had this type of dog, and should someone ask why the pigeon men like this breed of dog, you can all say because it won't bark and annoy yer cat :-/ ;D the only noise from them, is when the have hold of a leg bone !crunch ;D ;D Ned's beware
Leroy Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 i dont think they have much guarding instinct though, certainly not enough to attack a trespasser. I might be wrong.
