b.massey Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 Racing in midlothian fed today from Ripon. So last night as wee basketed the birds my dad was not sure which bird to put the money on. He has two yearling cocks that he was not sure to choose from. 92 and 94... So as I filled in my sheet he said make 92 the full pooler. birds off at 8.30 and we expected about 11.20 onwards. So 11.35 a bird traps to roof and just sits. Eventually bird comes down and we see its 94 so NOT full pooler. Timed in at 11.38. We fly from same loft. So 11.41 my bird (sent 2) comes in and its my full pooler... We start to hear times around Midlothian and my dad is well in. So I feel I am well in and should take the money. Up to clock marking we go and yeah my dad is winner and I am 2nd... So we verify birds and we see I HAVE POOLED THE WRONG BIRD FOR MY DAD.. He asked for 92 to be pooled and I done 94 by mistake. He now wins the race and full pooler and ACC... Iget nothing :'(.. Just my luck. My mistake and it cost me the money. At least it worked in the favour of him winning the money, He would not have been best pleased if he had thought it was pooler only to find I had made mistake.
