couple of pics of my very first eggs to hatch,  plus the proud parents, its their first nest, these are the first I have bred myself, feel like a proud dad lol

My cock came from G Athertons Galaxy loft stock and is a Vandenabeele x Deweil and the hen came from the Royal loft I beleive  the parents were  from Michael grunholz from the super 28 the hens breding is from Victor Fabry liones

Hi joe61, I have just ordered a new bale, so will be filling bowls up and putting a load down on floor in the yb section, thanks for advice mate. :)

Was going to but a pal of mine tried them last season and said they caused too many broken eggs, so thought I best not.

Tobbacco is the way to go mate. Keeps all lice and mites at bay. If you have broken eggs tiz calcium defficiency not bacca. Don't see any grizzles :(

Hi Peter, I have paired the grizzle hen up to a grizzel cock that I had gifted from Paul Stokes, they make a smashing looking pair of pigeons, shes laid this week, but only the one egg,we think it may be that as a young bird she took a bad knock when competing from Taunton, shes back in top condition now and is happy sitting the one egg, so will have to wait and see what happens at the next round, I will send you some picys in next few weeks once youngster hatches.

Stick a dummy egg under he,r along with the one egg. She's more likely to sit the 18 days and also, the dummy egg gives the young baby something to lean against and helps reduce the risk of splayed leg.
