Its not so much flying point to point, its the fact that 9 times out of 10 our game little birds have to negotiate their way through the Sperrin Mountains and their dangers when most of the other game birds are resting at home. Good luck to all Northern fanciers  ;)

cork might be flying a bit more than 300mls because they are further west than us . it would be nice to hear a few birds getting into the north to give us a bit of hope of clocking tonight as its a great evening for them to come on if they are good enough .

Cass, I hope Thomas gets the dark cock (king billy) it will certainly top off a great ob season for him. The lads in the club gave him his title (kb) as thomas called the hen that he got down from Ballyshannon the queen.

2 good experienced birds . in with a good shout as they know their way home from the channel

The cock won back to back in the club from Talbenny. Super result for any bird flying into Derry and it couldn't have happened to a nicer fancier for his dedication to his birds. Hes one of the sports true fanciers.

I put 350/360 miles to Cork on the other site as a guess because I don't have a measurement for St Malo. It is close enough though as I fly 353 from Lamballe, 376 from Sartilly, 407 from Redon and 381 from Vannes.

Looks like the Cork bird at 14.40 will win the Miller Gold Cup with an hour or two to spare. The East wind favoured Cork today.
