bigdees Posted June 26, 2009 Author Report Posted June 26, 2009 Hi this is Sheryl, Bigdees's daughter. Myself my brother and my mum wish to thank everyone for their kind messages of sympathy. It is difficult to find words to express our appreciation for all the work that the pigeon boys are doing for my mum with regards to the sale of my dads loft and pigeons. We will always be eternally grateful. My dads funeral will be held at Kirkcaldy Cremetorium on Wednesday the 1st of July at 3pm. Then afterwords at Methilhill Bowling Club. xx

alex wight Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 i have just heard today off the passing of Wullie, which has deeply saddened me. It was wullie who supplied me with all the wood and nest fronts for my loft when i started in the sport, and all free, which was wullies nature. He also recommended where to stay in Blackpool for the show, and thats where we have stayed for the past 3 years. I was only speaking to him a couple of weeks ago and he was in fine form, asking how i was settling into my new home ect. My thoughts go out to the big man's family at this sad time. R.I.P Wullie you will be missed. Alex, Karin and Mackenzie Wight Lochgelly.

sapper756 Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Just returned from the funeral of bigdees, a fitting send off to the bigman, during the sermon it was mentioned twice how much he loved the site, and talking pigeons from the moment he awoke, and was logged on from 6am most mornings. Also from the site in attendance was, Pego, Thunderbigbaws, Squarepeg, weepeg, the fifer, trueblue, cemetary and myself, however there could have been more, as the crematorium was full. So God Bless you Wullie m8
