pjc Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 yep, suprised they are only uping training in such short stages!
Guest blaz hear Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 its not to bad returns after that, as for the feckin peregrines killing that pigeon.i know what i would like to do. just hope its not on of mine
pjc Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Just seen the following on the RPRA web site! Careful all they are going to jump the birds another 4 miles, will there be any left? :- Another 30 plus birds have worked in today but we have been closed in with this muggy weather today with heavy rain also. We are going to give these one or two days off as they have been through alot the last 2 weeks and hopefully for the weather to return to better conditions for training. We will be looking at Friday 12 miles and the times will be on. Will update loft list tomorrow night.
Guest bakes Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 bloody perigrine wish everyone the best of look whens the off for the race
whiteflighted Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 i think i would be causous if i had the responsibilty he has as this is his living jeremy is a good flyer i think he knows what hes doing
Guest numpty01 Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 i know he is flyer that goes without saying but being careful backfires as is already seen was it carful to have the birds out when show on knowing that microlights come over that area result is?t birds cover a big area when roaming and they need to be taken up the road not down the lane ?how many missing? but if thats the way he wants to do it thats his way
harky Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Thats me wiped out ,none left at all , my excuse ;D ;D ;D ;D maybe they were sent down to late and were not upto scratch with the others ;D ;D ;D
maverick Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 3and 5 mile training tosses i think are only insulting the intellegance of the birds they would be flying further in excercise in such short flights if they do get a scare they scatter and before they know it they are miles past the location
whiteflighted Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 they dont usually have motor powered para gliders at the three countys so i dont see that was any fault of jeremys the one loft race has one of the best percentages for the last two years going by that i think hes way is not bad just bad luck
Guest numpty01 Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 bloke from london had call from me last year on bird came in to my all i said i have one of youer birds he said i lost one after sparrow hawk went for it were are you i said wales he said f off mate were are you i said by seven bridge it was one he though hawk had yet it was with me 146 miles away on the same day he lost it ? he sent for it ;D ;D ;D

thunderboult Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 :-/ :-/ :-/ how many birds in it last year how many went to final race and came home ???? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ i think it's restricted to 1,000 birds, last year they had 266 at the final race and 225 made it home.
whiteflighted Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 and they had short tosses last year and the year before
Guest numpty01 Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 More than Europa! oh he does better job than them at least he gets some home on the day ;D ;D ;D ;Dand they are all transfered
Guest dogeon Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 why is it we all suffer loses, BOP's motor para glidders even just fly offs. but you would have something to moan at if we slagged you off for a mistake that happens to all of us this was on one of my race days http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1245504505/s-0/#num0 and had a hawk attack on yb today while out around the loft 10 still out
